In Loving Memory of Reolan Patrick Anderson, Jr.

On April 23, 2025, our beloved Patrick was in a devastating motorcycle accident. The following morning, he underwent emergency brain surgery and was airlifted to LSU Shreveport. He spent 48 difficult days in the hospital—between Lafayette and Shreveport—fighting with everything he had.

On June 10, 2025, surrounded by my sister and their children, he passed away. In his final moments, they prayed with him, held his hands, and reminding him of their love. They told him it was it was okay to rest, and that they would carry on with him watching over them.

The loss has been deepened by a series of heartbreaks. Just 9 months before, the family was grieving the passing of his baby brother, Shannon Paul Anderson, Sr, who passed from a massive heart attack. And only two weeks after Patrick’s accident, Shannon’s eldest son tragically passed away as well, and now with the loss of Patrick, the family has been left reeling.

Throughout the time Patrick was hospitalized, his children—all college students—put everything on hold. They traveled back and forth between cities and stepped up to help make difficult medical decisions. Because of the time and emotional energy needed to support their dad, they had to forgo working during this period, placing additional financial strain on the family.
