It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beautiful mother, Refugio Belen Flores. She was the absolute heart and soul of our family, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.If you knew our mom, you knew she was a force of love and light. She had an eye for beauty, a passion for fashion, and a love for interior decor that made everywhere she went feel elegant and welcoming. She took great pride in staying active and healthy, pouring energy into working out and staying strong. But above all else, her greatest passion and proudest achievement in life was her family—her children and her grandchildren were her entire world.Mom was an amazing, deeply loving person to everyone she met. She lived her life as a caregiver, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was the person who would help anyone in a heartbeat, completely selflessly, never expecting a single thing in return. She was also a protector and a worrier, driven by a deep desire to keep us safe and close. She fought with every ounce of her strength, through every minute of her life, just to have more time to be here with us. Her resilience was unmatched, and she gave us everything she had until her very last breath.As we navigate this unimaginable grief, we want to give her the beautiful, dignified farewell she truly deserves.
