In Loving Memory of Raymond Pierre- Louis
Donation protected

Hello my name is Maxilia Cassandra Desir and I am the daughter of Raymond Pierre-Louis. On April 14, 2020 my beloved father passed away. My dad suffered with a heart condition for years but it never stopped him from smiling or working hard every single day. Unfortunately, his poor health made him more susceptible to COVID-19.
Despite my and his wife's pleading, my dad insisted on continuing to work as a cab driver during this pandemic. Sadly, the type of work that my dad did made him more likely for him to be exposed to this deadly virus. As a Haitian immigrant, my dad felt it was his duty to not only provide for his family here in America, but his family back home. My dad put all of his nieces and nephews in Haiti through school and assisted them with the costs of weddings, funerals, medical expenses, all while helping me pay for school.
My dad was the most thoughtful, loving and caring man in the world. He was a servant of God, a man who walked by faith and not by sight. My dad went on annual missionary trips to Haiti and France. At only 62 years old he had devoted his life entirely to the betterment of society, he was never judgmental, rude or angry. My dad was a model citizen, and a righteous man. My dad was put to rest on May 5, 2020 at the Hollywood Cemetery (because he's a star)! Due to the global pandemic, it was a fight to give him a proper burial. Nonetheless, my family is extremely grateful to finally lay Raymond Pierre-Louis to rest!
I am writing this to ask support for my family and I during this time If you are not able to donate that is okay, thank you so much for taking the time to read about my dad .Our only hope is to be able to afford the expenses that my father's life insurance was unable to cover and any other expenses that may follow.
