In Loving Memory of Ralph Mendoza
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart and immense sadness to announce the passing of our beloved friend, Ralph Mendoza. On December 31, 2022, at 9:57pm, Ralph entered the gates of Heaven after a long and courageous battle with an aggressive cancer at the young age of 47.
Ralph was born in Los Angeles, California and lived in West Covina, California for most of his life. In January 2021, he moved to San Antonio, Texas, with his family to be closer to his wife’s family after losing his mother-in-law to her battle with covid. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Sonia, of 24 years and his five beautiful daughters, Madalynn (20), Samantha (16), Amerie (13), Natalie (12), and Bobbi (4). His girls were his absolute world and everything he did in life was whole heartedly for them, especially his courageous fight. He also leaves behind his siblings, along with many relatives, and so many of us who were honored to call him friend, brother, and compadre.
If you had the privilege of knowing Ralph, you knew someone who loved and devoted his life to his beautiful wife and daughters, to his family and friends, and his passion for music, vinyl records, and Nike Jordan shoes. His infectious smile and laughter could light up any room. He had the best sense of humor, and his sarcastic witty responses always had us laughing. We will forever cherish all of our memories.
In 2013, as an avid music lover and DJ, Ralph and his friend, who shared the same passion for music created a platform, Vinyl Monkees Radio, for other artists like them to contribute their art of music to the community. In doing so, he inspired and supported other artists in the industry to pursue their passion, as well.
Unfortunately, Ralph was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in March 2018. He became very weak and unable to continue working. His declining health put him in a position to resign from his job as he was not physically well. In doing so, life insurance was no longer an option for him with a pre-existing condition, such as cancer. This GoFundMe is set up to help with Ralph’s funeral costs and any additional funds remaining will be used to support Sonia and the girls, which was always top of mind for him.
We appreciate your donations and would like to thank you for taking the time to read through this short story, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
