In Loving Memory of Rajya Laxmi Shrestha—Support for Barsha

Barsha’s beloved mother, Rajya Laxmi Shrestha, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14th, after fighting metastatic pancreatic cancer. She moved to the U.S. about a year ago to seek treatment and live with Barsha. We’re raising funds to cover funeral and memorial expenses and to support Barsha—during this difficult time. Any donation or prayer is deeply appreciated.

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Rajya Laxmi Shrestha, beloved mother of our dear friend Barsha. After a courageous battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer, she passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14th, surrounded by love.

Rajya Laxmi moved to the U.S. about a year ago to live with her daughter and seek cancer treatment. A devoted educator, she served as a school principal in Nepal for over a decade, touching the lives of countless students with her warmth and wisdom.

Even through the challenges of chemotherapy, Rajya Laxmi remained joyful, social, and full of life. In her final days, she reflected on her life with deep peace, telling Barsha she had no regrets. She continued to smile, care for others, and share her endless love with her family, even as she faced her greatest battle.

On the morning of her passing, Barsha held her hand as she gently slipped into a deep sleep and took her final breath. She left this world surrounded by the prayers and love of her children, both near and far.

As Barsha shared, “Even in her final days, Mom was the one taking care of me. Her love was endless, her courage immeasurable, and her spirit truly radiant.”

Today, Barsha faces not only the loss of her mother but also the heavy weight of personal hardship. The burden of funeral expenses and the road ahead are overwhelming.
