In Loving Memory of Raiyne: Your Support Matters

Raiyne came down with an illness on January 11th. She had neurosurgery on January 18th to remove an abscess on her brain. Although her Neurosurgeon said the surgery was successful, Raiyne succumbed to her battle with meningitis just 3 days after her surgery. The meningitis was caused by a rare form of strep, which was reported to the CDC. Raiyne was just 2 years 5 months old at the time of her passing. Raiyne’s courage was just as remarkable as her joy.

Raiyne loved to learn, she knew her ABCs, how to count to 20, and many colors at her young age. She brought immeasurable light and joy to everyone she met in her short time on earth. Her infectious laughter, boundless spirit, and love for life made her a beacon of happiness. Whether she was twirling in her Minnie Mouse slippers, singing the Elmo ABC Rap song with Mommy, or having a dance off with Daddy, Raiyne lived every moment to the fullest.

Raiyne’s favorite moments were spent performing for her family, who applauded and cheered her on, and lovingly said she was going to be “the next Mariah Carey.” Whether it was reading books with Nanap at Barnes & Noble, swimming with Mommy and Daddy, or singing at the top of her lungs through the grocery store. Raiyne’s aura filled every room with love and light.

Raiyne knew nothing but love and joy. And although she left this world far too soon, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who love her.
