My name is Sara, and I just lost my younger sister, Rachel. She was 38 years old.

Rachel was born and raised in South San Diego. She was the youngest of three girls, and she was always adventurous and a real thrill-seeker. She loved music, animals, and spending time with family. She worked in the food service industry at several restaurants, some in Imperial Beach, Downtown, etc. She made many friends wherever she went.

Recently, Rachel had been battling many diabetes-related health issues and had been stuck in the hospital since September. She was suffering for a very long time. She leaves behind her thirteen-year-old son, but he will be in great hands with all of us. We will all miss Rachel dearly.
