On February 27, 2026 Phillip Macias lost is life while on his way to work. He was traveling to McLane Food Services Distribution Center in Moreno Valley, where over 20 years of his life he dedicated his time, effort, energy and hard work daily. Unfortunately on this day he wouldn’t make it to his destination or any other on this earth. During the early morning, Phillip’s truck, for reasons still unknown, rear ended a semi truck on the 215 Southbound freeway north of Central Ave.
Phillip was called home to the heavens at the early age of 66. He was a man that could light up any room, put a smile on any face and had the kindest and most beautiful heart. His laugh was pure happiness and his smile was golden. He loved fiercely and did everything he could to care for his family. He definitely touched the hearts and lives of so many. Phil spoke fluent sarcasm and loved to tease and make jokes. His voice was reassuring and comforting. He made many friends, met many people and was no stranger to carrying on a conversation with someone standing in a line anywhere. He helped everyone in need and would pass a compliment on to anyone he felt it would brighten their day.
He was a devoted Father of 2 sons and a loving Grandfather to 5 grandchildren, all whom were his world, pride and joy. Many would say there wasn’t a single moment he would miss the opportunity to speak about his children. He was a strong, firm , dedicated and loving father and did everything humanly possible to give us all a great life. He showed us the meaning of passion, determination, courage and love.
We will love him forever and he will always be in our hearts.
On behalf of his family, thank you for taking your time to read about our sweet Phillip. Thank you for your donation. All donations received will go towards his funeral expenses. May God Bless you and your family.
