Lovesskin is hosting an amazing fundraising event on Tuesday, 23rd September, in aid of Sam Beare Hospice in Woking.

We are fundraising in memory of beloved Peter Watts, a close family member of Lovesskin’s Clinical Director, Emily. Peter sadly passed away after his courageous journey with pancreatic cancer, only three months from diagnosis. Peter was so much more than his illness; he was a devoted grandad, a supportive dad and stepdad, and a loving husband. He was someone who could talk to anyone and make anyone feel welcome in any situation.

During Peter’s final days, the incredible team at Sam Beare Hospice provided not only medical care but also warmth, dignity, and compassion. They were there for Peter and for all of us as a family, making an unimaginably difficult time a little easier to bear.

Woking & Sam Beare Hospices is a charity that cares for over 2,000 patients and their carers and families each year. They specialise in delivering holistic care for patients with progressive advanced conditions that are life-limiting. The hospice's care is delivered in the community, in patients' homes, in care or nursing homes, or through its in-patient ward in the hospice, as well as through the Bradbury Wellbeing Centre, which offers day care services to all its patients and carers.

This page is a way for us to honour Peter’s memory and give back to the hospice that gave us so much. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards helping other families receive the same support—whether that’s through specialist nursing, pain management, bereavement counselling, or simply providing comfort in the final days. Sam Beare is 100% run by donations, so every penny really does count.
