Hello friends.

I came back to FB for a very specific reason.

I am trying to use whatever power FB networking algorithm gives me to try to raise enough funds to pay to dedicate a park bench to my dear friend Peter Moretti.

It costs $2,000 to get a small plaque placed on a bench of our choosing if available. It would remain in place and be maintained for ten years, after which it would be left to the ravages of time, just like all of us.

My best friend Peter... my brother Peter... my mentor... my spiritual guide... my sponsor... best man at my wedding. Peter was truly an extraordinary human being. He was a multi-disciplined martial arts master, as well as a teacher and revered mentor to young aspiring martial artists.

He was also an accomplished saxophone player. He loved to practice and play whenever he could. He encouraged both of my sons in their musical endeavors. He loved my children, sending generous gifts every Christmas.

He was also a proud member of his local Bronx chapter of the Guardian Angels. Pete always looked out for the underdog, the misfits, and the misbegotten. He had a knack for helping us poor souls who have been more than a little twisted by life.

Peter loved his family deeply, even through the challenges many of us face with our families. He especially doted on his granddaughters. He had an enormous heart full of love and compassion.

I would ask any who knew and loved Pete, or who know and love me, to contribute whatever possible to help memorialize this remarkable human being, Peter Moretti. If you can't for whatever reason, that's ok too. But if you are able and willing, I thank you in advance.
