In loving memory of Peter Dixon

Peter was known for always providing an open ear to those who needed it (also equally were discussions surrounding Love Island and such). His open-heartedness, combined with his warmth and quietly comical ways were enjoyed by all who had the pleasure of his company.
Since 2021, Peter and Jenna’s life has been filled with a rollercoaster of large events. Early 2021, Peter was diagnosed with Melanoma Stage III Cancer. He underwent surgery to remove what they could and was placed on a 12-month immunotherapy trial. Soon after - in April - his long-term partner Jenna discovered she was pregnant. On December 20th, they welcomed beautiful Theodore into the world. In 2022 Peter and Jenna received the news that he was now at Stage IV Cancer. Peter and Theo participated in the Melanoma March. Peter managed to save $8050 to raise awareness and funds for research.
Below is the link of his fundraising page for the event. Written by Peter himself, it communicates his kindness and positive nature in the face of such sadness through his diagnosis. https://mm2022manly.gofundraise.com.au/page/PeterDixon-27150135
Peter’s wife Jenna described him as kind, a devoted father and a bit of a dork (in a cool way). Despite the circumstances regarding his health and significant after-effects of his many treatments, Peter always showed up for his son Theodore. They would laugh, paint, relax in front of the TV and cook together. Towards the end of his journey, Peter loved the company of Jenna and little Theo, nestled in bed listening to a good book read to him by Jenna.
Making memories has been Jenna and Peter’s goal - for this beautiful little family to spend quality time together. Small trips away, simply enjoying one another’s company at home and temporarily moving up the coast. This recently included a trip to Daydream Island, where Peter popped the question. On November 12th, Peter and Jenna were married at Jenna’s parents’ home. Then on December 14th, Peter peacefully passed away in the comfort of his parents’ home, surrounded by loved ones.
Whilst the decision to make the most of their time together would never be taken back, the result is that the family have not been earning an active income. The intention of this GoFundMe is to provide people a way of supporting and empathising with Jenna and Theo as they navigate the next chapter of their life - without their husband and father. We are aware that money is not everything nor the solution to dealing with the incomprehensible grief that Jenna will be experiencing. However, it will provide the gift of time for her (and Theo) to be able to slowly heal and process without the financial stress.
