Our mom, Penny Cox, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer in February 2022. She fought hard and had faith that she could get through all of this. Her last chemo would have been Monday, but unfortunately she had to go to the emergency room the Friday before that, and from there ended up in Intensive Care. She still never gave up, in fact, when the doctors came in to tell her that she was on the maximum amount of oxygen before intubation and that she probably wasn’t going to be able to fight off this infection, she said okay, let me go home and think about this and talk it over with my family and we will let you know what we want to do. They told her it was impossible to go home on that much oxygen and she told them I’m not dying, I feel fine. Why would I be dying this time when I didnt the other times? She wasn’t ready to quit and she would have kept fighting if it was her choice. On August 23rd at 11:58pm she stopped breathing. We are now trying to plan for her services but have very limited funds. None of us like the idea of asking for assistance but we know it would mean so much to our mom to have a full service. Please if you are able to, we would appreciate any donations, all of which would go towards her cremation and funeral or memorial services. Thank you so much for any help you are able to give.
