It is with great sadness that we share and mourn for the sudden passing of husband, father, grandfather, and friend Paulino Salanguit. Due to a severe injury that had occurred, he was brought to the hospital and was took in for surgery. Despite having a successful surgery, Paulino has passed during recovery of the surgery on July 11, 2025 at approximately 1:03 am. Paulino was 79 years old who was extremely caring, outgoing, and always happy with a positive smile. He would always encourage you to become a better version of yourself, and somehow always find a way to make you laugh and smile.
The untimely passing of Paulino Salanguit has been difficult, and has left an immense void for family and friends. Paulino was born and raised in the Philippines, then later moved to Canada in 1977. In pursuit of a better lifestyle, he lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he gave birth to 2 daughters, Cherryl and Rosalyn Salanguit, and finally settled in Vancouver, British Columbia where he spent most of his life.
My name is Milo Jancent Macalipay, one of Paulino Salanguit's grandsons. I have set up this gofundme on behalf of his wife (my Lola), to allow friends, family, and the community who wish to contribute the aid in the expenses of the funeral and the memorial. Funds with be directly applied to the costs that are related with Paulino's memorial and family's wishes. Together, we can celebrate and cherish the sweet memories of Paulino Salanguit and forever live in our hearts as he rests in heaven.
