Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Paul Marshall, who passed away on 3rd February 2025. Paul was a well-loved and well-known member of gee cross and Hyde community, having lived in Hyde his entire life.

Paul was well-known for his cricket career, with links to Hyde, Mottram, Dukinfield, Flowery Field and Ashton cricket clubs in his younger years. Paul was also a well-known taxi driver in tameside. Paul was a loving and dedicated father to two sons, Asa and Jason.

His sudden departure has left a void not only in our hearts but also poses unexpected financial burdens as we face the costs associated with funeral/memorial services.

We are reaching out to you today for support in hosting a memorial that honours Paul’s memory in the way he deserves. The funds raised will be used to:

- Cover funeral and memorial expenses

- Manage any outstanding costs

- Offer support to Paul’s family during this difficult time
