In Loving Memory of Paul James Thompson
Donation protected
Paul bravely fought brain cancer with strength & unwavering courage right to the very end when he drew his last breath on Monday 12th May 2025, 48 years young. He leaves behind his wife of 18 years Carmen (my friend of over 20+ years), son Nate (16 years old), daughter Beth (11 years old), extended family & friends.
Paul was diagnosed with a cancerous Brain Tumor (Glioblastoma, IDH wild type) 2 years ago. As one can only imagine the last 24 months has been an incredibly challenging time for The Thompson Family. Paul underwent 2 operations and various treatments to fight this battle. Even through all this - Paul a man of very few words managed to work in between treatments, be cheeky giving his wife, doctors & nurses grief! He rocked his Arsenal fan cap and shirt (avid supporter) right to the end! As he got closer to the end the family managed to spend some precious time at the beach fishing (see pic)
As Carmen, Nate & Beth grieve this profound loss, I’m reaching out to friends, family & community for support. All funds raised will go directly to Carmen Thompson to help cover costs of Paul’s memorial & to help ease the immediate financial pressure on Carmen. The last few years have taken its emotional, physical, mental and financial toll.
No contribution is too small & if you’re unable to give financially, sharing this fundraiser or offering kind words & memories means the world to us.
If you prefer to make meals, donate a fuel or grocery voucher directly - I’m happy to help coordinate - please contact myself or Carmen directly.
Lastly, Carmen & children unfortunately cannot afford to stay at the current rental home they are in. If you know of any homes for rent (3 x 2 OR 3 x1) around Canning, Armadale, Gosnells or Thornlie areas please get in touch with myself or Carmen directly.
From the bottom of our hearts we Thank you for your love, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Also, a special thank you to the Alpha Carers Northbridge Team that became the final support team and family in their darkest hours.
With much Love, appreciation & gratitude,
