Our father, Paul J. Rinkenberger was born 10/02/1951 to Katherine Rinkenberger (O'Brien) and Lyle Rinkenberger. Paul grew up in Gridley, IL., on the family farm with his 4 brothers; Terry, Roger, Steve, and Dan. He graduated from Gridley High School and went on to pursue an apprenticeship with General Electric as a Tool & Dye Maker. Paul loved his chosen profession and spent close to 20 years with GE, after which, he went on to other opportunities in his field of expertise.
In his younger days, he enjoyed shooting pool and roller skating. Throughout his life he enjoyed learning new skills related to mechanics, electrical, and plumbing. Our dad had a passion for knowledge which he pursued thru reading, watching documentaries, and staying up to date with current political topics.
Our greatest memories with our father include summers swimming at GE pool, weekend adventure trips involving fishing and fireworks procurement, and making occasional trips to the local Walmart/Farm N Fleet for "Goodies".
Paul is survived by three children; Ashley Rinkenberger, Brandy Vasquez (Rinkenberger), and Jared Rinkenberger. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Paul is preceded in death by his mother Katherine, eldest brother Terry, and father Lyle.
We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of final arrangements to lay him to rest, as well as, legal fees that will be necessary to settle his estate. His eldest child, Ashley Rinkenberger will be overseeing donations to pay final expenses. We thank you for any contributions to our family in this time of grief.
