In Loving Memory of Patrocinia “Pat” Hernandez

On Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, Michael and I lost our mother, Patrocinia Soledad Hernandez, or to many who knew her Pat, and to her beloved granddaughter Cecelia, Nana. Her passing was sudden and unexpected, and our family is still processing the heartbreak of losing someone so central to our lives.

Our mom was the heart of our family. She had a kind, and generous spirit, but never hesitated to speak the truth. She was strong, grounded, and full of love. She was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcomed, but also taught us the value of standing our ground. She gave comfort when it was needed and tough love when it mattered.

She was passionate about her favorite crime shows, crime documentaries, mysteries, and she had a creative side that showed through in her arts and crafts whenever she had time to create them. She loved movies and storytelling, and always found joy in the little things.

Her presence inspired both respect and a deep sense of safety. A rare combination that made her unforgettable to everyone she met.

As we work through this loss, my brother, Michael and I are asking for help to cover the unexpected expenses related to her passing. We’re hoping to raise $7,000 to help with:

Hospital and emergency services

Other related costs as they arise
