In Loving Memory of Parveen Ahmed – A Sadaqah Jariyah Legacy
Donation protected
On 14th February, we celebrated our dad’s birthday. A day filled with laughter and love, which would become the last day of our happiness as we knew it, never imagining that the very next day, 15th February our lives would change forever.
You always hear about people’s lives changing with one phone call, never did we imagine that would happen to us. But that’s exactly what happened when we received the news - our beloved mum, Parveen Ahmed, had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
She was the heart of our home our strength, our comfort.
Even during her illness, she carried herself with grace and strong faith in Allah (SWT). She comforted us, telling us she would be fine, reassuring us to stay strong and not cry. But imagine the weight she carried the stress, the fear, the worry. All of it hidden behind a brave face so that we wouldn’t break. That strength, that selflessness, is something we continue to admire and hold close to our hearts to this day.
Little did we know that just three months and one day later on Friday 16th May, we would lose her in the most sudden and heartbreaking way. She had such a good day; we were even planning to go out for dinner. That evening, she was waiting for her granddaughters to arrive for their weekend sleepover, something they did every weekend, unaware that she wouldn’t live to see it.
What began as a normal walk to the shops with her little girls ended in unimaginable sadness. Something none of us could have foreseen. It started when she mentioned her legs started to feel week and within minutes, she had returned to Allah (SWT).
This sudden and devastating loss is something our family is still struggling to come to terms with.
She was our whole world. Her love, her warmth, and her constant care shaped who we are. This campaign is our way of honouring her legacy and continuing the kindness she showed throughout her life.
We are raising funds in her memory as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), so that the good she inspired can continue to benefit others—and bring her ongoing reward in the hereafter, insha’Allah.
With your support, we hope to fund meaningful projects such as:
• Building wells to provide clean, life-saving water to communities in need
• Supporting orphans with shelter, food, education, and care
• Helping struggling families with essential aid and long-term support
These are not just acts of charity—they are acts of love, made in her name.
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] that sprouts seven ears; in every ear there are a hundred grains. Allah multiplies for whom He wills, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.”
— Qur’an 2:261
Every donation, every share, and every prayer helps us keep her memory alive.
May Allah accept this effort and reward everyone who takes part.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
