In loving memory of Owen: Support for Cecie and Erik

With heavy hearts, we come together to support Cecie and Erik after the unexpected and devastating loss of their son, Owen Bradley Emanuelson. Owen had a radiant smile, an infectious laugh, and a beaming personality that lit the darkest of rooms. His loss has left a profound void.

Owen celebrated his first birthday on December 15th and three short days later his parents received unimaginable news. Owen was found unresponsive at daycare after the staff tried to wake him from his nap.

Erik and Cecie are left not only with the pain of losing their child, but also with the weight of the financial burdens that come with such an unexpected tragedy. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help ease some of those burdens, allowing them the time and space to grieve their baby without the added worry of immediate expenses. Donations will go toward Owen’s funeral and memorial expenses, medical costs, and helping Cecie and Erik in any way they need during this incredibly difficult time.

Amidst their grief, Cecie and Erik are also anticipating the arrival of a baby, due in June. Cecie and Erik are facing the delicate balance of mourning the loss of their son, while preparing for the arrival of their second baby. Donations will also support Cecie and Erik in taking unpaid time off to grieve Owen and care for their second baby later this year. The road ahead will be filled with both joy and sorrow, and they will need as much love and support as possible.

No parent should have to face the loss of their child. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and help them navigate through this heartbreaking time.
