In Loving Memory Of Owen Henderson
On the 4th November 2025 we had our hearts ripped out as we unfortunately had to say our goodbyes to our wonderful Owen... Owen was a hardworking, loving, kind, outgoing and delightful young man who was full of dreams and places he wanted to see, loved a good hike in the wonderfull outdoors and was loved by soo many people who sadly gained his wings far to early at just 23 years old,
On the 28th October, Owen was at a non-Contact/light sparring training boxing session for a boxing match which was due to take place on the 22nd November. Owen was doing this to raise money for angelman syndrome charity, which held a great place in his heart (his little brother harry who he doted on unfortunately has this rare disorder) but sadly couldnt finish it, a horrific accident accured which Owen was rushed to Addenbrooke's Hospital to then later find out he had sustained a serious head injury, which caused a massive bleed on his brain and despite the professionals best efforts they did everything they could but Owen died in hospital a week later..... and because he was an amazing young man he went onto saving the lives of 5 other people being an organ donor which he signed up to being only a teen himself 5 years ago...
We have set up this gofundme to help the family towards the cost of Owen's wake and flowers and possibly towards solicitor fees to get Owen the justice he deserves
We as a community too will also continue raising money for angelman syndrome charity by doing a memorable walk/hike all 22.1 miles around Rutland water on the 4th November 2026 1 year after his passing...
We love and miss you Owen and we will continue raising money for the charity and making you proud.
Thank you to eveyone for either taking the time to read, leave a message or even donating we appreciate you all
