Our wonderful friend Jo’s life was tragically cut short on 15th January when she was taken ill unexpectedly and died just a few short hours later. She leaves behind her 3 beloved boys Daniel, Jack and Harry, as well as countless friends, colleagues, peers and students whose lives she touched and enriched in so many ways. To say we are all shocked and devastated just doesn’t do it justice. 

Many of you will know that Jo had spent the last 4 and a half years on the journey to become a Counsellor. She fully threw herself into this training alongside being a full-time mum supporting and loving her boys, as well as working as teacher. In the summer of 2023, she achieved her dream of completing her training and became a qualified Counsellor. She quickly went on to set up her own private counselling practice, supporting clients to overcome obstacles and challenges in their own lives. Supporting peoples emotional and mental wellbeing was fundamental to Jo’s beliefs and purpose in this world, as a mum, a friend and a professional teacher and counsellor. It was core to who she was. 

As we all start to try to come to terms with this unbelievably tragic loss, her friends would like to channel their energy into something we know has always been Jo’s number one priority, the support and wellbeing of her 3 boys. We are starting this fundraiser to be able to raise some money to provide Daniel, Jack and Harry with some of the things they may need to help and support them in the aftermath of this heart-breaking and life changing loss.
