Hello. My name is Medina Selmanovic, and I have had the honor of working with Ileana Esquilin at PS 46 in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, for over thirteen years now. If you know anything about Ms. Esquilin, it is that she loved and constantly prayed for her five children and their well-being.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share the sudden passing of Ms. Esquilin's son, Jose Esquilin. Jose left everyone on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Jose was a former student of PS 46. If you had the opportunity to meet Jose, you would know that he was always helpful, sweet, and funny. Unfortunately, the battles he was dealing with personally took his life at a very young age.

I am asking friends and family, on behalf of the Esquilin family for donations to help with funeral services for Jose. These tokens of kindness will forever be appreciated by Ms. Esquilin and her entire family.
