Our father, Wasim Ahmed, passed away 1st July 2025, but his memory lives on in the countless lives he touched. He was the kind of person who could light up a room with just a smile. Always ready with a joke or a gentle tease, he had a way of making people laugh even on their worst days.

But more than his laughter, it was his kindness that people remember. He noticed the small things. If anyones car needed fixing or they were stranded on the streets he was there. He gave not just from his pocket, but from his heart. Whether it was time, advice, or a meal shared, he was generous in every sense of the word. Thoughtful in his actions and selfless in his intentions, he left behind a legacy of compassion and joy. The kind of person who would share his last glass of water with a stranger.

As a tribute to him, we are raising funds to build a hand pump in Bangladesh where families still walk long distances just to collect water — often unsafe and contaminated. We want this pump to bear his name, so his legacy of compassion continues in a place that needs it most.

With everyones help, we will be raising money to build an Artesian Water Well with a Tank, enough for up to 120 people each, it gets built in a small village with about 15-20 houses and near a Mosque. A large hand pump costs around £1320 but the impact is priceless.

May this pump provide clean water, healthier children, fewer waterborne diseases, save time collecting water to those in need, just as he offered comfort, care, and love to all who knew him.

We pray this act of charity becomes a source of ongoing reward (sadaqah jariyah) for his soul.

"Whoever gives water to drink, Allah will give him water from the Paradise." – Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Anything extra raised will go to additional charities that need it the most, in the memory of our father. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah. Ameen.
