Honoring the Life and Legacy of Derek

Ayala who was a man who lived his life with purpose, strength, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. To many, he was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran; to others, a tireless and hardworking colleague; but to us, he was simply our beloved father, grandpa, and best friend.

On 05/04/26 our lives changed forever when Derek passed away unexpectedly.

He carried the values of the Corps—honor, courage, and commitment—into everything he did. Whether he was working hard to provide for his family or spending quality time with his grandkids, he did so with a kind heart and a spirit that could light up any room. He was the person we leaned on, the one who always had the right advice, and the friend who was always there when you needed him most.

Because his passing was so sudden, we are facing unexpected expenses as we prepare to give him the honorable send-off he deserves. We want to celebrate his life in a way that reflects the incredible man he was—a soldier, a provider, and a patriarch.

We have set up this fund to help cover the costs of the memorial services and to support the family during this transition. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward:

• Funeral and memorial service arrangements.

• Travel expenses for family members to say their final goodbyes.

• Support for his immediate loved ones as they navigate this tragedy.
