My name is Shawnta’, and on August 26, 2023, we tragically lost three of our most dear family members. Sherlyn (65), Sheena (38) and her son, Jaylin (17). They were victims of an active shooter in Joppatowne, MD, where they were taken from us too soon. Sherlyn was the oldest sibling of 6 and was soon about to retire from a job where she was cherished, loved and admired for her positive and comforting attitude. Jaylin, a senior in high school, was the only child of loving mother Sheena, whom was also the only child of her surviving parents.

As the family has been grieving, many close friends and loved ones have shown their support by reaching out and sending their condolences. It has been so greatly appreciated. We decided to build this page in order to assist with the many costs that accompany laying loved ones to rest. This is the only page for the victims and we assure you this page is authentic.
