In Memory of Our Beloved Nephew

On September 24, 2019 my only nephew, Yaroslav (Yarik) Apalkov, has unexpectedly passed away. He had just turned 20 in June and had his whole life ahead of him. He loved sports and dreamed of becoming a sports therapist one day to help others. But those dreams were cut short. I was sure the next time I would see him would be at a wedding to see him tie a knot with his beautiful girlfriend. Never did I imagine it would be at his funeral. As a mother myself, this is my greatest fear. No parent should ever have to bury their child. If you have kids, hug them tight and cherish every moment with them! I know we are all busy with work and can sometimes forget what is truly important in life. Don’t take your loved ones for granted.

Understandably, his family is completely devastated, including his twin sister, his younger sister, mom and dad. To help them during this difficult time, I have set up this page for them, where we can rally behind them and show compassion and support. His father is the sole provider for the family, and I am hoping to raise 5K to help them with funeral and medical expenses, to alleviate some of the financial strain on their family.
