In Loving Memory of Our Baby Daxiin Bo Torres

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Our names is Sam Torres and Bridget. It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we write this. Our baby boy, Daxiin Bo Torres, was brought into the world today, October 18, 2024, but he was taken from us far too soon. He was 8 months and 16 days along, perfectly healthy according to his last appointment on Wednesday, October 16th 2024. Our hearts were filled with joy and anticipation as we waited to meet him, but tragedy struck in the early hours of Thursday, October 17th 2024.

At 6:30 AM, Daxiin’s mother experienced a sudden rush of blood onto the floor, her first pregnancy, she thought it might be her water breaking. We rushed to the hospital, praying desperately for our baby boy, believing with all our hearts that he would be fine. After 24 hours of waiting for her to dilate, with every minute feeling like an eternity, we received the devastating news—our sweet boy was gone. Daxiin’s little heart had stopped. The joy we had imagined turned into our worst nightmare.

Daxiin Bo was born at 1:50 PM today, October 18th, 2024. A 4 lb baby, 17 3/4 inches. We held him in our arms—our beautiful, lifeless baby boy. Words can’t express the agony of cradling a child we had dreamt of for so long, only to never hear him cry, to never see him smile. The pain is indescribable. It feels like time has stopped, and our world has shattered. Just two days ago, he was healthy, full of life and promise. We never imagined this moment would come.

We were counting the days to his arrival, with a due date of November 27th, 2024. Our baby was supposed to be our biggest surprise to the world. We were waiting to announce his birth with joy and pride, but instead, we are now left with nothing but grief, pain, and unbearable loss.

It’s only been five hours since Daxiin was brought into this world, and the weight of losing him is suffocating. The shock and trauma are overwhelming. We never thought we’d have to plan a funeral for our baby, or seek therapy to heal from this unimaginable grief. We are broken, lost, and struggling to figure out how we will ever move forward. Our hearts are shattered, and our lives have changed forever.

We are humbly asking for your support as we navigate this tragic loss. The emotional and physical toll is immense, and we need time to grieve, to heal, and to figure out how to keep going. The funds raised will help us with Daxiin’s burial, hospital bills, cover the therapy we need to cope with this trauma, and allow us the time off we need to recover emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically.

We chose the first name to be Daxion but spelled it Daxiin which stands for “the warrior of many obstacles”.
