With deep sorrow, we share that Oleksii Sorokolet, born on July 22, 1998, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2026, at the age of 27.

Oleksii’s life was marked by courage, sacrifice, and faith. In 2018, he joined the Azov Regiment, where he faithfully served for three years. During his service, he took part in combat operations, endured severe trials, and sustained injuries that had a lasting impact on his health. Even through hardship, Oleksii remained committed to his duty until the end of his military contract.

In January 2022, seeking recovery and a chance to rebuild his life, Oleksii moved to Poland. Later, through the U4U program, he relocated to the United States, where he spent the last three years working, adapting, and trying to build a peaceful future.

Recently, Oleksii was diagnosed with cancer. He faced this battle with humility, faith in God, and hope, trusting that the Lord was guiding him even through this painful journey. Today, we believe he is now with the Lord, where there is no pain no suffering.

The memorial service will be held on January 31, 2026 at 9:30 am at 3150 Old Atlanta Rd, Suwanne GA 30024 - New Life Church

Burial Service will follow at 12:00pm - 12:30pm. at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens: 5979 New Bethany Road Buford, GA 30518

Celebration of life and fellowship are to follow at 1:00 PM at New Life Church:

С глубокой скорбью сообщаем, что Алексей Сороколeт, родившийся 22 июля 1998 года, отошёл ко Господу 24 января 2026 года в возрасте 27 лет.

Жизнь Алексея была наполнена мужеством, жертвенностью и верой. В 2018 году он вступил в полк «Азов», где верно служил три года. За время службы он участвовал в боевых действиях, прошёл через тяжёлые испытания и получил ранения, которые оказали долгосрочное влияние на его здоровье. Несмотря на все трудности, Алексей оставался верным своему долгу до завершения военного контракта.

В январе 2022 года, в поисках восстановления и возможности начать новую жизнь, Алексей переехал в Польшу. Позже, по программе U4U, он оказался в Соединённых Штатах Америки, где на протяжении последних трёх лет работал, адаптировался и стремился построить мирное будущее.

Недавно Алексею был поставлен диагноз — рак. Он проходил этот путь со смирением, верой в Бога и надеждой, уповая на то, что Господь ведёт его даже через самые болезненные испытания. Сегодня мы верим, что он теперь с Господом, где нет боли и страданий.
