Dear friends and family,

My name is Andrea Kaycee Ortanez and I am helping the beautiful Lucido family coordinate this GoFundMe.

 

With great sadness and emptiness in our heart, our mommy, Ofelia Lucido laid her final rest against her relentless battle of stage 4 cancer on October 3rd, 2021

 

Despite her symptoms, the amount of medication, and countless appointments, Ofelia continued to be selfless mother to her children and husband. She never lost her unconditional love and care for her family despite her health complications. Mommy is truly a warrior at heart. Her energy lit up the room, her love was bigger than the sun, and our cups are always filled when mommy was around.

 

No one is ever prepared to bury their mom, their soulmate, their sister, their auntie, their friend. Although we’re not prepared, God has other plans for her.

She’s my Wonder Woman. I remember her filled with so much life, energy, and faith. She was the type of person who was so hardworking, selfless, and kind. She always help others and make sure to do right by others.
