Our family is heartbroken to share that Nyasam Khor Chagi tragically lost her life in an act of violence on July 31, 2026.

Nyasam was a loving mother, daughter, sister, businesswoman, and friend. She leaves behind five children, ages 5, 11, 12, 14, and 18, who must now face life without their mother’s love, guidance, and protection.

Nyasam worked tirelessly to care for her children and keep her family together. Her sudden death has left them grieving and in urgent need of stability, security, and support.

We are raising funds to help cover Nyasam’s funeral and burial expenses, immediate care for her children, and longer-term needs such as housing, food, clothing, counseling, and other essential support. Funds will also help with legal and safety-related expenses connected to the ongoing investigation.

The grandmothers’ of the children must travel from Africa to help care for them, and a portion of the funds will assist with her travel and related expenses.

This fundraiser is being organized by Dee Dee James Kong, Nyasam’s niece. All donations will be used directly for Nyasam’s funeral expenses and the care and support of her five children. The funds will be managed by Dee Dee James Kong on behalf of the family and children.

Every donation, regardless of the amount, will help provide Nyasam’s children with care and stability during this devastating time. Sharing this fundraiser with others is also deeply appreciated.
