In Loving Memory of Noble Amadi

Noble Amadi was a bright and loving soul that left us too soon: March 8, 2019. He was his namesake: kind, brave, and full of life. He overcame many battles in life and still showed unconditional love to my family and to others. Noble never met a stranger; only new friends to share with. I can't talk about my brother without talking about his true passion: animals. He loved learning about and visiting all the creatures of this world, big or small. He strived to live strong, carefree, and loyal like the lions he cherished.
Noble began his battle with anaplastic ependymoma, a rare brain cancer, in January of 2017. After multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, he went into remission in August of 2017. He enjoyed every moment of his new lease on life. He laughed, he cried, he danced, he saw snow, he fed animals, he played pranks, he went to the beach, he learned, and he loved my mother and me.
Unfortunately, Noble's cancer returned in January of 2019. He lost his ability to speak -- his last words were "Mom, let's go home." We brought him home, half paralyzed on his left side and wheelchair bound. He continued to enjoy simple pleasures - movies, fruits, time outside with us.
We were blessed with a Dreams Come True trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL. Noble truly achieved his dreams - we saw his favorite animals, the castle in Magic Kingdom, and the Festival of the Lion King show (his favorite movie of all time). We celebrated his 17th birthday in our villa at Give Kids the World. I am truly grateful he was able to enjoy that experience.
Noble was airlifted back to our home town at the end of the trip. He developed a kidney infection, internal bleeding in his stomach, and later a brain hemorrhage. Noble fought for his life, but his body was failing him and he succumbed to rest. I am grateful he's finally at peace.
I've created this GoFundMe because Noble needs our help one more time. Preparing for the funeral of a child is never easy. The number above is an estimate of the costs needed for his funeral. We're just asking for assistance from anyone who feels called to help at this time.
The funeral itself is $7500 - for embalming, casket, service, and other requirements. The grave site and tombstone will be $4700. We are trying to be responsible and respectful of Noble with his service, and we are using whatever resources we can find.
Life without my best friend, my cheerleader, my heart, my brother, my mother's son will never be the same. If you ever had the chance to meet him, you would come to love him and his joyous smile as much I did. Please help my family say good-bye and honor his spirit.
