I am reaching out on behalf of our dear friends, Alyssa and Nick (and Cassius and Zeppelin:) to ask for support while Alyssa navigates this devastating time. After spending 14 years together, married for 8 (in an awesome surprise wedding!), sweet Nico passed away on Saturday, April 4th, at home with his wife by his side, surrounded by love and family, after bravely battling stage 4 cancer for several years.

Despite the pain of the disease and the side effects of the treatment, Nick continued to pursue his passion of woodworking and build his masterpieces until very recently. His artwork, spirit and legacy live on in the exquisite bars he built for Maplewood Brewery & Distillery, Mikerphone Brewing, Fischman Public House (now Gracie O'Malley's Six Corners), Bárbaro Taqueria, 18th Street Brewery Hammond, Osito's Tap and The Beer Temple, along with countless home bars. The world lost an amazing artist, teacher, woodworker, friend, dog dad, brother, son, uncle, kind soul, and Alyssa lost her husband and life partner. I am asking for your help to alleviate some of the devastation she now faces.
