In Loving Memory of Nicholas – Supporting Kenzie Gray

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unimaginable loss of Nicholas, a beloved Alvin ISD 8-year-old third-grade student whose life was taken far too soon on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. His passing was sudden and unexpected, and our hearts are broken alongside his mother Kenzie, his father Nathan, and their family as they navigate this profound loss.

Nicholas was Kenzie’s pride and joy. Their bond was deep and unbreakable, filled with love and laughter. Nicholas loved school, riding his bike, building with Legos, and proudly being a Cub Scout. Some of his happiest moments were spent dancing and listening to music with his mom, memories that will forever live in her heart.

Kenzie is a caring, sweet-spirited friend known for her infectious warm smile and generous heart. She is a cheerful giver who is always willing to help others in any way possible. To watch her now walk through such a tragic and unimaginable loss is heartbreaking beyond words.

While Nicholas is now resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord, Kenzie is facing time away from work, funeral-related expenses, grief counseling, and everyday financial responsibilities while trying to heal. This fundraiser is being organized by Kenzie’s Southern University Speech-Language Pathology college friends and her SU family—who love her deeply and want to surround her with support during this incredibly painful time.

Our hope is to ease the financial burden so Kenzie can focus on grieving and healing. Any contribution helps remind this family they are not alone. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing and keeping them in your prayers.

“Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

**This fundraiser is organized by close friends (Bianca Porter, Rekeshia Ward, Kashonda Bowie-Clophus, & Brandye Johnson-Batiste) on behalf of Kenzie. All funds raised will go directly to her to support funeral expenses and family needs.**
