It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our father, Nelson Coll, on September 24th, 2025.

Nelson was many things to many people. He was always full of jokes, joy, and love, with his signature Jack and Coke never far behind. He had a larger-than-life personality that could take over a room and make everyone feel included. Wherever he went, he filled the space with laughter and warmth. He was the first one on the field and the last to leave, the first to start the party and the last to keep it going.

For over 30 years, Nelson dedicated himself to the North Bergen Recreation Football Program, where he was known as Coach Nelson to some and Big Nel to all. With his passion, presence, and boundless heart, he left an unforgettable mark on generations of players, families, and friends.

As his passing was sudden, our family is now faced with the unexpected costs of his upcoming services. We, his children and family, are asking for your support to help us honor his memory the way he deserves. Whether through a donation or by simply sharing this page, every contribution helps and means more than words can express.
