It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Nectali Diaz aka Sumohair. Nectali, a proud Guerrerense, transitioned from this world on Saturday, July 30th. Nectali was a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, collaborator, artist, educator and an inspiration to many and all who crossed paths with him and experienced his spirit.
As an integral part of the LA and global creative scene, Nectali leaves behind a legacy of beautiful art and music that will live with us forever.
His sudden passing leaves his family with a tremendous amount of pain. Nectali was a great supporter of all of his friends and nurtured a beautiful community around him. Now we have the opportunity to demonstrate the generosity he showed us.
This fundraiser is being organized by some of his closest friends in music and in life in collaboration with the Díaz family. All funds are going directly to his family and this will be used as the official vessel for fundraising. Your support is greatly appreciated.
