It is with profound sadness that the Steinbeck Tigers Youth Football & Cheer organization mourns the heartbreaking loss of one of our own, Nathaniel “Nate” Flores.

Nate was just 13 years old, a member of our Midgets football team, a son, a teammate, and a friend. He would have celebrated his 14th birthday this Friday. His unexpected passing has left his family, teammates, coaches, and our entire Steinbeck community heartbroken.

At Steinbeck, our players are so much more than names on a roster or numbers on a jersey. They are children we have the privilege of watching grow, encouraging through challenges, celebrating through victories, and supporting both on and off the field. Nate was part of that family, and his loss is deeply felt by all of us.

During a time when no family should have to worry about financial burdens, we want to come together as a community to offer Nate’s loved ones the support they deserve.

We have established this fundraiser to assist Nate’s family with funeral and memorial expenses and provide financial support as they navigate this unimaginable loss. All donations will be directed toward supporting his family during this difficult time.

We humbly ask our Steinbeck families, fellow youth football organizations, friends, and community members to stand alongside Nate’s family. Whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or keeping his loved ones in your thoughts, every act of kindness and support is sincerely appreciated.

While nothing can take away the pain of losing Nate, we hope to ease some of the burdens his family now faces and remind them that they are surrounded by a community that cares.
