In Loving Memory of Nathan Ray Worrell
April 11, 1970 - May 4, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nathan Ray Worrell.
Nathan was born on April 11, 1970 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Raymond and Jeanne Worrell. He is a devoted husband, cherished father, and beloved friend.
Nathan graduated from Friendswood High School in 1988, and Sam Houston State University in 1992. Nathan worked as a Houston Police Officer for three years before joining the United States Secret Service in 1996 where he served for 27 years before retiring in February 2023. His time as a Secret Service Agent was marked by professionalism, dedication, and a deep sense of duty — values that defined his life both on and off the job.
Nathan was a man of quiet strength, boundless love, and unwavering dedication to his family. Angela was not just his wife, but the love of his life—his high school sweetheart, his confidant, and his greatest joy. Their life together was a beautiful testament to enduring love, friendship, and faith. Together, they built a life grounded in mutual respect and enduring affection. They were high school and college sweethearts before marrying.
He was the proud and loving father of four children: Garrett Worrell, Savannah Worrell, Hayden Worrell, and Dalton Worrell. To them, he was not only a guiding light but also a source of wisdom, humor, and strength. His love knew no bounds, and he took great joy in watching his children grow, always encouraging them to be kind, courageous, and true to themselves.
He is survived by his mom, Jeanne Worrell, devoted siblings: Darren Worrell (wife Karen, children Tyler (wife Hope) and Haylee; Sarah Worrell Nziengui (husband Alexandre); Daniel Worrell (wife Gretchen, and children Kylie, Luke, and Ryan); his mother in law Elaine Roberts; brother in-law Wesley Roberts (wife Britney and children Samantha and Christopher); brother-in-law Skipper Roberts (wife Karyn and children Skipper and Skye). Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Worrell.
Nathan will be remembered for his generous spirit, warm smile, and quiet way of making those around him feel seen, safe, and valued. Nathan had a way of showing up quietly, faithfully, and with his whole heart. His presence made people feel anchored, protected, and known. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being present, he left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
Though we grieve his absence with aching hearts, we hold fast to the promises of our Lord. Nathan is now fully alive in the presence of his Savior, and his love will echo through generations. He was deeply, dearly loved and we will carry him with us always.
A celebration of Nathan’s life will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Crosspoint Church at 1134 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581 at 7:00pm.
