In Loving Memory of Myrtle Hurley

Donation protected
On April 27, 2020, my grandmother, Myrtle Hurley, passed away at 92 years of age. She leaves behind her loving husband, my pop, Pleman Hurley, and a admiring family consisting of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren. Many of those family members have shared their fond memories around the table and on social media in the days since her passing. While we cry because she is gone, we look back on those memories and smile, knowing they will be with us forever. Those who knew her speak of her loving nature and willingness to help anyone and everyone in need. She was a woman who loved life and spent it sharing her warm smile and gentle laugh to anyone who was around her. Those in need of cheering up would be invited to play a round or two (or seven) of cards, those who needed warmth found a pair of knitted socks in their hands, those who needed a smile got sweet hugs and a playful joke to brighten their day. Her entire life was dedicated to loving her family, friends, and life itself.

Although abundant in warmth and compassion for others, Nan herself lived a modest life. Being a fisherman's wife in small town Newfoundland and the type of woman who would give everything she had to others, leaving her savings minimal to support the husband she left behind and funeral costs. We understand that circumstances are difficult in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are asking that if you have the financial capability to assist with the cost of her funeral, no matter how big or small of a contribution, to please consider giving back to assist us in giving her the memorial that such a warm and loving woman deserves. She has touched so many lives in her 92 years, please help us give back to her the same way she did to so many others.

Any funds donated will go towards her funeral as well as helping to financially support her husband in these difficult times.
