Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Souls:

To honor my beloved firstborn son, who tragically passed away just a few weeks ago, I am launching this GoFundMe campaign.

My son KJ was an extraordinary young man. He possessed a heart overflowing with compassion, a genuine smile that could light up any room, and a zest for life that was infectious. He was not only my son but a lovely and protective brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend.

As a single mother, I did everything I could to encourage and guide him in life. KJ graduated high school and worked hard to receive a College Football Scholarship. In 2018 KJ was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and that changed his future forever. In spite of all the struggles KJ faced, I never gave up on him and he always knew he had me there whenever he reached out and needed help.

Unfortunately, fate had other plans for KJ, leaving us devastated and shattered. In spite of the persistent efforts and the failed system, we lost him way too soon.

In the midst of our pain, we find solace in cherishing the memories we shared with him. The laughter, the tears, the milestones we celebrated together—these precious moments will forever be etched in our hearts. However, even with Life Insurance in place, the loss comes with immense financial burdens, such as funeral costs and other unforeseen expenses. Any contribution will make a significant difference in helping navigate through these challenging times.
