It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Carmelo Burston, known to so many as

MELO ❤️‍

On December 16th, 2025, our family’s world was forever changed. This loss has been incredibly painful, and we are still trying to process life without him.

MeLO meant so much to our family and to everyone who knew him. His presence, love, and spirit will never be forgotten.

He was born Aug. 27th, 2006.

He was my only son, my right-hand man, my strength through life’s hardest moments. We have been through so much together, and he never stopped showing up with courage, love, and determination.

Over the past year, he was deeply affected by the passing of his MeMaw and then the loss of his father, Thierry, last year. Despite all of this, Carmelo remained strong, ambitious, and full of life.

He was incredibly smart, hard-working, and responsible. He loved basketball, sports, and spending time playing video games with his siblings. Carmelo had a special gift for making people laugh—his humor lit up every room he walked into. He was talented beyond words and had such a bright future ahead of him.

This year has taken so much from our family—my mother, my son, my granny, and his father are all gone. While I don’t understand why this is happening, I do know that love never dies. We are choosing to rise up, to honor them, and to be the strongest we can be for my girls we still have.

We are asking for help to cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as related costs during this devastating time. Any donation, share, or prayer means more to us than words can express.
