It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Roomi Shujaat, on March 13, 2026 (48). She left this world surrounded by her family after a courageous five year battle with ovarian cancer.

Roomi was not an ordinary person. She had a rare kind of kindness, one that showed up in the way she spoke to people, the way she listened, and the way she gave. She gave out more love than she ever received, never expecting anything in return. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her understands the impact she left behind. She was deeply loved, and she is deeply missed.

Throughout her life, Roomi was always giving. She supported charities across the world and quietly helped people in need, often without recognition. Helping others wasn’t something she did occasionally, it was part of who she was.

We are creating this fundraiser to honor her life in a way that reflects who she truly was.

The funds raised will go toward:

• Building a beautiful and lasting tombstone for Roomi, a place where her memory can be visited and remembered

• Supporting the charities she cared about, so that her spirit of giving continues to make a difference in the lives of others

Now, we want to continue her legacy. The same compassion and generosity she showed to the world is what we hope to carry forward in her name.
