This past week, my world changed forever — I lost my father. No amount of words can truly express the pain and emptiness I feel. My dad wasn’t just a parent; he was a protector, a mentor, a best friend, and one of the most genuine souls I’ve ever known. He was the kind of man who left an impression on everyone he met — the kind who could make you laugh when you wanted to cry, and who offered love, guidance, and strength to so many.
He was a proud Navy veteran who served his country with honor. Outside of his service, he had a love for the open road — nothing made him happier than riding his Harley with the wind on his face and the sun on his back. He loved singing karaoke, enjoying a good cigar, and surrounding himself with family and friends. He lived life his way — full of laughter, music, and stories that could fill a room.
I’m currently in Las Vegas, and my father’s final resting place will be in McKinney, Texas. I desperately want to be there to help plan his service, celebrate his life, and be with my family as we lay him to rest. Unfortunately, the unexpected travel and related expenses have made it difficult for me to get there on my own.
I am humbly asking for help with transportation costs and any other expenses that come with this sudden loss. Every donation, no matter how small, will help me make it home to say goodbye, honor his memory, and support my loved ones through this heartbreaking time.
My dad gave so much of himself to others — to his family, to his friends, and to his country. He deserves to be celebrated properly, and I want to be there to make sure that happens.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read this, to share, or to contribute. Your kindness, love, and support mean more than words can say.
