On 15/01/2026, my family and I received news that we could never have imagined. My beautiful mum had met with the angels above

My mum left behind 2 children, myself, Lilian (20), and my younger brother, Cameron (19). She is the only child of my devoted Gran Sheila. As a family, we are broken. This is an unimaginable pain. A heartache that we never saw coming.

We are an incredibly close-knit family, and it has been the four of us together for as long as I can remember. We are a normal, working-class family who experiences struggles like the vast majority of our local community. We have been left in a position where we have no other option but to put our pride aside and ask for help

My beautiful mum deserves to be laid to rest in a way that honours the incredibly caring, loving and bubbly woman that she was.

If you are reading this, we do not ask for much. As a family, we understand how difficult this life can be, physically, mentally and financially. If you can spare a few pounds to help us provide a deserving funeral for our mum, and for my gran's only child, we would kindly ask you to do so.

Any money which we are able to raise will be used to pay for my mum's funeral, and if we are fortunate enough to have any left over, we will donate the remaining amount to a local mental health charity in the hope that another family never experiences this excruciating pain.
