In Loving Memory of Mrs. Kazue Ueda

On Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 12:49pm, our beloved mother, Kazue Ueda, aged 69, departed from this world, leaving an irreplaceable void in our hearts. Her departure followed an unforeseen journey that began on February 20th with stomach pain, leading to an emergency surgery three days later and, tragically, her passing in the ICU due to complications. The sudden turn of events left us grappling with the reality of losing our mom.

Despite a successful surgery, the unexpected decline of her health unfolded rapidly. The morning after surgery, she was rushed to the ICU after nurses reported that she was having trouble breathing and was unresponsive. She was immediately put on a ventilator and given medication to regulate her breathing and blood pressure. Three cardiac arrests marked the final four hours we shared with her, despite our desperate prayers and pleas for her recovery. In those agonizing moments, we held on to the support of our church community, but her heart and organs continued to weaken until her body was too weak to fight any longer. This unexpected outcome was devastating for all of us, and we were not prepared to lose our mother so suddenly. The pain of her absence is immeasurable, and our hearts ache with the longing for our mom’s comforting presence.

Kazue will remain in our memory as a hardworking mother and a devoted member of the church community. We will always remember her gentle and caring soul that brought joy to those around her. Everything she did was out of love for her family, God, and her community; and even when it went unnoticed she never stopped giving. Despite her calm nature, her strength and courage can be seen through the pain she quietly endured. Her warm smile and comforting presence will be deeply missed by the people whose lives she touched.

Survived by her husband, Takeshi, and four children — Miho, Yoshiki, Yukiyo, and Marie — we now face the daunting task of covering the unexpected burial expenses and medical bills incurred during her hospital stay. In this trying time, we humbly reach out for support, grateful for every donation and share that eases the burden we bear. Your kindness is a beacon of light during our darkest hours, and we thank you from the depths of our grieving hearts.
