Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
Thank you for your condolences and prayers.
Our beautiful & strong grandmother left us peacefully on June 17, 2024.
She was the backbone of our family, a pillar of strength, and a source of unconditional love for all who knew her.
Our ya-ya dedicated her entire life to taking care of her family. From the morning breakfasts she prepared with papa's and huevos, to the late-night conversations where she offered sage advice, her presence was a constant source of comfort and guidance. She sacrificed so much for nothing in return.
Throughout her life, ya-ya never hesitated to put others before herself. She made sure her children & grandchildren had what they needed, both emotionally and materially. I know personally, she knew no bounds, and she taught us all the value of compassion and selflessness.
As she battled Dementia in her final days, her strength and spirit remained unyielding. Now, as we mourn her loss, we are left with a profound sense of gratitude for the incredible woman she was and will always remember her silly jokes, random phone calls to go grab coffee, her little bursts of dancing from happiness, constantly playing her Brooks and Dunn on repeat, and telling each of her grandchildren that they were her "number one. Don't tell the others" as she slid us a couple of bucks...
In honor of her memory we are setting up this GoFundMe. The funds raised will go toward covering her funeral expenses and any leftover hospital bills. Your support will help us during this difficult time and will also serve as a tribute to our ya-ya who gave so much of herself to everyone.
Your kindness and support mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of honoring our Ya-Ya's memory.
With love,
The Melgosa Family ❤️
