In Loving Memory of Mom, Funeral Funds

Everything was normal just three weeks ago until my mom Maria Hernandez was diagnosed Monday, January 21st, 2019 with stage 4 uterine cancer that metastasized throughout her entire body. This picture was just taken on her birthday a month ago… She was healthy… We are not sure why things like this happen or why an evil like cancer exists but we know that mom was a fighter. We fought for her transfer from Northridge hospital to USC Keck where we found an oncologist that did not give up on her. Through endless days and nights by her side,  she laughed and almost never cried, the strongest woman I know. They could not find out what kind of cancer cells were aggressively attacking her body and every day counted. Even with all this, she passed away Thursday January 31st. The power of the lord is unbelievable for I knew she held on until we all came together, my angel. I will forever love you mom and we will keep you with us everywhere we go. This truly doesn’t feel real, thinking she will be in her room or come out to tell us anything, the pain is unbearable. This happened so fast, we are still in shock just trying to figure out the next steps to come. She deserves the funeral for her family all over to be able to come and see her one last time, and a burial that we can visit to be able to be with her. Even with the funds our family have managed to put together, it is hard to come up with the amount it takes. A little helps, to be able to give my mom the funeral she deserves. She was a woman of faith and lived each day to love. No matter the circumstances she never ceased to bring light to any day and anyone that spoke with her or had the chance to meet her... Even throughout all the pain the last weeks, she smiled to all who cared for her the nurses, doctors, just everyone. She was one of the best humans on Earth and now flies with the angels.
