In Loving Memory of Milagros Raymundo

Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mom, Milagros “Mila” Raymundo, after a courageous and inspiring battle with glioblastoma.

Our mom’s story is one of love, strength, and unwavering kindness. She met our dad, Richard, when they were just teenagers in high school. What started as a sweet courtship blossomed into a long-distance love story. In 1987, our dad proposed, and they married the following year in 1988. Shortly after, Mom made the brave decision to leave her home in the Philippines and begin a new life with Dad in the U.S.

Together, they built a beautiful life. She gave birth to me, Chynna, and my brother, Joseph. Despite being far from her family, Mom always stayed connected to her roots. She supported her loved ones in the Philippines however she could. Her generosity knew no borders.

Anyone who met my mom would tell you how kind she was. She had a mother’s heart not just for her own children, but for anyone who needed a little extra care, warmth, or a listening ear. She became a second mom to many, and a trusted friend to even more. At work, she was known for planning joyful office parties, lifting spirits, and being the one people always turned to. She had a gentle strength and comforting presence that made others feel safe and seen.

In May 2023, Mom was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. She faced the diagnosis with courage and determination, undergoing surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. For a while, her tumor was under control. But in September 2024, she was hospitalized again, and doctors discovered two new tumors. Still, she never gave up. She fought hard until the very end, showing us all what true strength and grace look like.

We’re creating this GoFundMe to help with funeral costs and outstanding medical expenses. Any support is deeply appreciated, whether that’s through a donation, a kind message, or sharing her story.

Thank you for loving our mom, and for being part of our family that meant so much to her.

With gratitude,
Chynna & Joseph
