In Loving Memory of Mike Setser

As many of you know my husband, Mike, passed away on Monday morning due to complication from the Covid-19.  We want to give you a little history so you know that your donation is going to assist with expenses for an amazing man.  He probably didn't realize how many lives he touched in his lifetime, as we did not until he passed.  So many people have reached out wanting the opportunity to help during this time of sorrow.  If you wish to do so, we would appreciate any kind of donation for the expenses towards his funeral.

Mike and I have been married for 46 years.  We have 3 special daughters, 4 amazing grandchildren, and 3 wonderful great grandchildren.

He was a godly man who was full of love and smiles to give.  No matter what kind of mood he was in, he would smile at you and he could light up a room.  Most people remember this about him.

Mike had a corny sense of humor.  Most of us picked on him for his "dad" jokes but no matter who he was telling them to they laughed. He could make a room full of complete strangers laugh before they realized they were laughing.

He enjoyed working on computers and teaching students and coworkers and he was good at it. He worked as a computer instructor at Pickens Tech, an IT specialist at Jasper Bank, and prior to passing he worked with MECH.  He was a dedicated employee who was loved by all his students/coworkers.  He loved to fly and had his small aircraft pilots license and enjoyed being with the "Front Porch Gang" who were all pilots or spouses of pilots.

Mostly though Mike was a family man.  He always wanted to help his girls and grandchildren with any kind of project.  The love in his heart went beyond anything I could have asked for in a father for our daughters and PowPaw/Papoo to our grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mike was a one of kind man which made him the perfect husband for me.  He made me feel loved no matter what either of us were going thru.  I am going to miss him bringing me my morning coffee and us sitting on the front porch watching the sun rise as we talked about our wonderful family and our life's journey. We would pray and give thanks for our blessings. I truly have lost the love of my life. We as a family have lost the most wonderful man and though he may be flying high in heaven he will always be flying over our shoulders and still living in our hearts.
