It is with the heaviest of hearts that Mike Peattie’s family and friends come together to create this GoFundMe in honor of an extraordinary man, husband, father, friend, colleague, and beloved member of the Sayville community.

Mike passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 9th, leaving behind his amazing wife, Cindy, and his beautiful children, Olivia and Owen. His loss has left an unimaginable void in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mike was truly one of the most selfless, kind-hearted, and genuine people you could ever meet. He had an incredible ability to make everyone around him feel welcome and valued. His smile could light up a room, and his infectious personality and positive spirit were impossible to forget. Mike was always “living the dream”—and he made those around him feel like they were, too.

Above all, Mike was an amazing husband and an incredible father who loved his family more than anything. A longtime resident of Sayville, Mike proudly volunteered his time coaching local children at the Sayville Schools and CYO and was the kind of person who was always willing to give back to his community.

His family, friends, colleagues, and the many children and families whose lives he touched are devastated by this sudden and heartbreaking loss.

We are asking the Sayville community, and all those who knew and loved Mike, to come together to support Cindy, Olivia, and Owen during this incredibly difficult time.
