In 2007, Mike Galloway, a hilarious and spunky nerd extraordinaire married my sister, MaLyn. Millions of adventures ensued. Babies were born, careers were built and their home was always filled with laughter and love. I took every opportunity I had to spend time in their home, feeling lucky to be part of their life.

Last spring, after months of pain, Mike got the devastating diagnosis of stage III pancreatic cancer. We all carried an enormous amount of hope in our hearts while he fought the cruelest fight. We hoped his youth, stubbornness and Huntsman's magic would be enough to cure him, that this would be a tiny little blip in the big and beautiful life they were living. But cancer had other plans, and with a sadness none of us have words for, we must navigate the beautiful life he built without him.

With perfect devotion and unbreakable joy MaLyn has cared for Mike and their kids. And now it's our job to take care of her as she transitions to life without Mike.
